The Rails are Kami Thompson (daughter to Richard and Linda) and James Walbourne (The Pretenders, Ray Davies, The Pogues, Son Volt). They won this year’s Horizon Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, and were nominated for Best Album for their debut album Fair Warning (produced by Edwyn Collins) released on the legendary Island Records, for which they revived the vintage ‘pink label’ previously reserved for the releases of Nick Drake, John Martyn and Fairport Convention.
Kami released her debut solo album ‘Love Lies’ through Warners. She has toured with Sean Lennon and Bonnie Prince Billy, performed at many Thompson and Wainwright family shows, along with appearing at Hal Willner’s Leonard Cohen tribute ‘Came So Far For Beauty’.
