Our resident MC Danny McLoughlin introduces double headliners Tom Wrigglesworth and Alexandra Haddow.

Tom Wrigglesworth is a Mad Jack’s favourite stand-up comedian, radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist from Sheffield, England. With a disarmingly charming delivery and unforgettable appearance, this Yorkshire funny man became a national have-a-go-hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of a Virgin train ticket inspector; only to be arrested for begging.

He’s enjoyed several nationwide tours with live shows, has written and starred in five self-titled series for Radio 4, and accepted performed at comedy festivals across the globe including the prestigious New Zealand, Sydney and Montreal Comedy Festivals. A prolific writer, Tom has been a regular at the Edinburgh festival since 2006 when he first debuted performing in a double headline show with Tom Allen, entitled Allen and Wrigglesworth, and also compering the Big Value Show.

Alexandra Haddow is one of the most popular acts on the UK comedy circuit. We are thrilled to welcome her to Mad Jack’s for the first time. She is a stalwart of the festival scene, having performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading and Leeds, 2000Trees and Victorious Festivals and has supported comedy icons Frankie Boyle and Bill Bailey, and hosts the Dulwich Hamlet Comedy Club every month.

Her hotly anticipated debut show, Not My Finest Hour, sold out its entirety at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023, including two extra shows. The show received critical acclaim, after previously being nominated for Best Debut Show at Leicester Comedy Festival Awards 2023. She performed the show across the UK in 2024. 2024 saw her return to the Edinburgh Fringe with her critically acclaimed sophomore show Third Party

Resident MC Danny McLoughlin has the sharp wit & material, likeable persona and strong stage presence that have seen him become a much sought after act in his short time as a stand up. A finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of The Year in 2008, Danny went on to perform as part of the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show during Edinburgh Festival 2009. He also supported Al Pitcher on his UK Tour and is booked by some of the UK’s biggest gigs and promoters.
