We’re thrilled to welcome back John Smith to Shrewsbury as part of his UK Tour.
With six studio albums and over 100 million spotify streams, John has barely had time to breath during his 18 years as a full time independent touring artist.
His career began opening for folk greats such as John Martyn, Davy Graham and John Renbourn, who called him “the future of folk music.”
Since then he’s opened for Iron & Wine, Patty Griffin and Ben Howard. Along with being a special guest with Jackson Browne, Jarvis Cocker, Jerry Douglas and a raft of other folk legends. Along with being a part of a band set up with Lianne La Havas, David Gray and Joe Henry.

He’s now back with his new album ‘The Living Kind’ released in March 2024.
