The last Comedy Club of 2017 sees host LAURA LEXX introduce double headliners NATHAN CATON and STEVE SHANYASKI
NATHAN CATON is one of the most exciting young comedians on the scene. Gigging since the tender age of 19, over the last decade he has established himself as both a circuit headliner and a well-known name on TV and radio. Nathan’s award-winning combination of personal and topical anecdotes has lead to appearances on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Good News. He’s also written and starred in his own BBC Radio 4 sitcom, Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothing.
STEVE SHANYASKI is a long-established and popular headliner, described by Jason Manford as “one of my favourite comedians”. His inherent warmth and cheeky, roguish twinkle shines through his material, elevating him to quite another level as a performer. Combining surreal observations with wildly tangential imaginings, his off kilter set pieces have audiences fully immersed in ‘Stevie World’ as he leads them, Pied Piper-like, down the charming avenues of his inner mind.
LAURA LEXX is a performer, writer and Amused Moose Comedy Award finalist who has most recently performed her critically-acclaimed solo show, Tyrannosaurus Lexx, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Laura was nominated for Best Compere at the 2016 Chortle Awards. She was also shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award in 2014 and reached the finals of the Paramount Student Comedy Award, Chortle Student Comedy Award and Funny Women competitions. Laura has also provided tour support for Russell Kane.
